I have been receiving a few questions about the number of hooks required to have class voting rights.
From the rules: Only fully paid members that have made 35% of pulls will have voting rights at the annual class meeting.
Only pulls that have been made since paying membership are considered. If you paid your membership in two installments, it is counted from the first installment. In other words, it counts from when you were first placed on the points sheet.
Presently, our schedule contains 23 pulls. Assuming no other pulls are booked, you will have to have made 9 pulls to have class voting rights. 8 pulls would be less than 35%. I will remind you that at the general meeting, 50% was passed, but the board made the decision to ease the requirement to 35%.
I do not know if additional fall pulls will be booked. There is one currently under some discussion but no contract at this time.
Further, you will see that the annual benefit pull is now on the schedule. The point scale will be double for that event. Also, if you are a points winner in your class (1st-5th) but did not attend the benefit pull, you will not receive any share of the money made at the benefit pull. That portion will be divided amongst points winners who were in attendance.
Thank you,
Candi
