The current rules are for the ohio river 3800# class, I was wondering how much interest there would be among our pullers.

just a reminder that all trucks must be teched, before going, that is clucth inspection, engines pumped carbs sealed, and all the safety stuff for ORVPTA ,BEFORE YOU GO. and they may only take so many trucks.

Our trucks would not meet the rules of the 3800 class anyway. I was wondering how much interest there would be if we tried to get our class added, may be too late this year but its not to early to start on next.

Hello MT Pullers, I have been watching this post and was wondering also if there was any interest in going to Cloverdale in March !!! I hear they are heaving a hard time getting trucks to support their class. I heard 8 Trucks as of now. Yes it is a Orvtpa invite class and their rules. But,Motors & Carbs do not have to be sealed. The Pres. of the club said he would not seal anyones Motor because it was not a Orvtpa pull.

I have never heard there was a Truck limit. Last year they were expecting 25 and 15 showed up. There is 7 on the list as of now. I hear maybe 3-4 more. The main thing that will be checked is the Carb and Kill switch's. All Trucks will be brought inside before the pull to check carbs by Jeff Carter and not allowed to leave. Last year they were checked outside before the pull by a Orvtpa member. There was allot of rumors that the 2 trucks in the pull off wasn't running the correct amount of holes in their Carb & the guy doing the checking was in the pull off. The mini trucks put on a good show last year and everyone said they enjoyed watching them. Klint Tucker is the promoter. He has said he talked to someone from Kottpa about this pull but, I don't know who. I can't say much about the Motor size. Orvtpa limit 366 & Kottpa limit 406 but, I heard allot of Kottpa were small for the 406 limit.

Do not know where you got your information RustyIron but my name is Jeff Gritton and I was in the pull off last year and I was the one that checked the carbs. and I was voted by the class to do that. Just to straighten the rumor out my truck was teched by Jeff Carter the week before the pull last year and my motor and carb was sealed. There was two other pullers that checked my truck any way. I sold mini truck and have moved up to pro-street twd. I know Klint Tucker personally and I was the one that got the mini trucks in and there has never been a limit on the # of trucks. As long as Kottpa Minis are under 366 cubic inch and run a 500 cfm 2 barrel carb and run a 31x10.50 by 15 inch tire on a 8 inch rim they will be welcome to pull. If you want to discuss farther give me a call. 859-621-7550

cloverdale pull I talked to the Pres of ORVTPA and he and Klint come up with this.the 4000 minis are allowed to pull if they meet all of ORVTPA rules except the cubic inch limit. Klint is going to update his web site to tell this, will have to run 2 bbl carb 500cfm, 31x10.50.15 tires, 24 inch hitch, and 3800 lbs weight.

We are planning to go. Should be a challenge to figure out how to make the mini trucks hook under their rules.

Good to see Burton with Black Magic on Klints website. Hope to see more going to Cloverdale. Good to see the Mini truck class getting a good group of pullers. Thats good for future pulls with Klint.
