Up forsale is a GM 5140 Steel Crankshaft for a BBC. Here are the specs for it straight from GMPartsdirect.com
GM PART # 3963524 CATEGORY: Engine Crankshaft PACK QTY: 1 CORE CHARGE: $0.00 GM LIST: $1,038.57 OUR PRICE: $756.08
DESCRIPTION: CRANKSHAFT This forged 5140 steel 4.00" stroke crankshaft is the highest quality GM offers for big-block V8s. It is nitride treated to increase its hardness and fatigue strength. The main bearing journals are cross-drilled to provide a constant supply of oil to the rod bearings. For use with Mark IV design engines only. Technical Notes: This crankshaft is externally balanced. It must be used with a counterweighted torsional damper and flywheel (or flexplate) for correct engine balance. Main journal diameter is 2.75"; rod journal diameter is 2.20". Crankshaft ID is #3521.
This crank doesn't have the exact part# on it, but it still has the forging # which is 3963521, meening it is a 5140 steel forging. It was originally an externally balanced crank and was internally ballanced. The counter balance's and other rough casting finishes were hand polished to reduced windage. We have roughly $1000 in this crank. $500 takes it. Call Lyndell Bragg at (270)590-3900 or (270)678-6897.
