It would be great to have the Mod 2wd's start up again, but I don't think it would be to the best interests of KOTTPA to add that class. We already have 3 2wd classes, and from a spectators stand point, they can't really tell the difference between the Mod Stock 2wd and Prostr 2wd.

I know this is just my first year with KOTTPA That`s Kentucky Outlaw Truck and TRACTOR pullers association. But has anybody ever considered a tractor class of any kind? Just kinda curious. I think that it could help with attendence. Or has this already been considered before my time.

I personally like the 6000lb limited light super, and know some guys that run the class but have to travel alot of miles to pull and sometimes can`t make the trip. Just my preference.

I would love to add the Light limited supers, but to get tractors of that caliper to come and pull with us, we are going to have to raise the payout up abunch. It would also help out our attendance in other classes aswell.
Actually I wish we could actually add about 3 or 4 other classes to our organization, but instead of running all of these classes at each event, give the promotor a choice, Minimum of 4 classes, that they would like to have at thier pull. Kinda like what KTPA has done for years. Also with higher payouts at different levels for each class. I know that no one is going to make money from truck and tractor pulling, but these small payouts are beginning to not be worth some of the long trips we take.

Just my opinion but with the turnout in the Pro Street four recently I dont know that we need to do anything. I have been hearing that several of these trucks really enjoy running with us and intend to continue to do so, this is a really good class when we have the participation. I would love to see the Modified two class come back but I would say the jury is still out on that one and while I cant argue that a tractor class would not be good for us, I sorta agree with pup on the LLS, those guys can already hook about anytime they want to, without a big purse it would be hard to draw them. Like I said though, just my opinion.

I agree with you guys on the drawing without the bigger payouts. Man the 4 wheel gas guys have really picked it up big time while I was away. Tony I really appreciate you letting Todd Samaras make a test run with his 6000 LLS, that was his first hook of the year. Everybody put on a great show at Edmonton Saturday night and I personally had a blast. Reckon theres a chance the promotors might consider puttin in A/C at these pulls, man it was hot.

"And the Pro street 4x4 class can't be taken out because it was one of the original classes." This was brought up last year at the general meeting, I had no idea one way or the other at the time. I have read the bylaws and rulebook quite thoroughly since then and have found absolutely no reference to this. As I said in my previous post, I think that we need to leave things alone as far as our permanent classes go, but to say that none of the original classes can be voted out is not true. If you remember we had two tractor classes when this assoc. started, which were voted out.

Those tractor classes were on a trial basis. And it was brought up by the 4x4 class at the meeting and they showed were the class could not be dropped. Unless the by laws have been rewritten it states that all original classes can not be taken out. Mini trucks, Mod 2wd, 5500 2wd, and 6200 4x4.

Doug should have a copy of the bylaws, if you do not trust those they are also on file with the Kentucky Secretary of State under nonprofit organizations, they will make a copy available. Please look them over. I will give you a call tonight.
